RERA was enacted by the Government of India on 26th March, 2016 and all its provisions came into effect, from 1st May. The major reason for bringing RERA Act was to give equitable and fair transaction between buyer and seller of the property. With this Act is, it is hoped that real estate purchase will be simpler and more transparent as compared to before. Complaint under RERA - Any complaint can be filled u/s 31 of the RERA Act, 2016. The complaints can be against promoters, allottees and/or real estate agents. The complaint can be filed under the RERA, as prescribed in the respective state rules. If the cases are pending in NCDRC or any other forums, the complainant can withdraw the same and approach the RERA court.
